I spent a lot of time in Enkhuizen when I was young. It was already a water sports city then and has only become more so. Enkhuizen is known as the 'Herring City' because of its past as a center for herring fishing.

Enkhuizen is a picturesque town with a rich maritime history. Often overshadowed by larger Dutch cities, this charming town offers a unique blend of historical intrigue, natural beauty, and modern-day activities.
