The microKORG is without a doubt one the most popular synths ever produced, but as a huge fan and long time mK user the arrangement of the factory patches into musical styles ('Trace', 'D'n'B', etc.) never really made sense to me. Let's say you're looking for a nice Brass-Sound... you don't care if it's ment to be for 'House' or 'HipHop', you just want an quick and easy access to it? So did I and that's how this mK-Rearranged idea was born.
The mK-Rearranged package contains 128 very usefull patches for studio, live and rehearsal environments, grouped into the categories:
BASS 1 // BASS 2 // BRASS // PADS // INSTRUMENTS // LEADS // ARPEGGIOS // EFFECTS and VOCODER.
The Rearranged patches are transfered to your MicroKorg with the free available Microkorg Sound Editor Software that can simply be downloaded from the KORG website, so basically all you need is a PC/MAC, a midi-interface and a midi cable (or USB to midi cable).
The overlay-sticker is supplied by airmail and can simply be placed over the 'program select' section.
This makes your Microkorg a much better and well-arranged piece of gear in seconds - feels like owning a brand new instrument.
