Understanding Socket Embedding in S5
The S5 Season Specialization introduces a unique twist to gem embedding. Unlike previous seasons where gems were inserted into fixed sockets, players now have the flexibility to embed sockets themselves, creating personalized combinations of attribute bonuses. This guide will walk you through the embedding process and provide recommendations for selecting sockets.

Obtaining Sockets:

Sources: Sockets can be acquired from Squad Raid or Gang Raid, available in 3-slot and 4-slot varieties. However, only 4-slot sockets are currently found.
Board Configuration: The board starts empty with 25 slots, but you can only fill up to 24 sockets due to the unavailability of 3-slot sockets.
Embedding Sockets:

Patterns and Colors: There are 19 patterns of 4-slot sockets. While the pattern isn't the focus, the color of the socket is crucial as it determines the gem type.
Socket Colors: The colors correspond to gem types:
Opal: Special effects.
Red: Offensive bonuses.
Green: Defensive bonuses.
Yellow: Damage bonuses (less favorable as it only benefits one damage type).
Optimal Configuration:

Central Slot: Embed an Opal socket here. Choose one without a yellow slot.
Additional Sockets: Look for sockets with more red slots and no yellow. Aim for a combination of 11 red, 12 green, and zero yellow after fine-tuning.
Gem Strategy
Red Gems (Offensive):

Priority: Critical damage, then critical rate.
Secondary Choices: Attack and impact bonuses.
Note: If your ship's critical rate exceeds 100%, further increases are unnecessary.
Green Gems (Defensive):

Priority: Critical resistance, as it mitigates critical hits.
Secondary Choices: Armor, then hit points.
Yellow Gems (Damage Bonuses):

Selection: Choose the damage type that benefits your fleet the most. Optimize for attributes rather than gem level. For instance, prioritize a level 15 critical resistance gem over a level 16 hit point bonus gem.
Overall Tips:

Maximize Gem Slots: Ensure all available slots are utilized for maximum bonuses.
Efficient Gem Farming
Auto-Combat Feature:

Squad Raid: Use the auto-combat feature for effortless gem and socket farming. Invite gang members for gem farming sessions, enable auto-combat, and let it run automatically.
By following these strategies, you can effectively enhance your heroes and ships in Sea of Conquest, ensuring you stay ahead in S5 Season Specialization. For more detailed guides and updates, stay tuned to our channel. Happy conquering!
