Insanely beautiful part of Hungary: the Danube Bend

Thanks to our host Hédi from http://kavicskabin.hu for the stunning accommodation. Nagymaros and the Danube bend are super special and we loved our stay and all of the exploration in the surrounding region.

I also just want to say a big thank you for all the support you’ve shown so far. Over the past two weeks, we’ve filmed the first two episodes of the #HungaryWithWillie travel series in Göcsej and Hortobágy. My aim is to have 5-6 episodes ready by the end of autumn, with plans to release them in early 2025, complete with professional filming, editing, sound, and music. We have a few more shoots scheduled in September and October, and after that, we’ll dive into the editing process. So far, we’ve received 443 donations from wonderful supporters like you. Looking ahead, my long-term goal is to release these 6 episodes on my YouTube channel, with a larger media campaign planned for February or March. Ideally, we’d love to secure a production deal that will help us bring our vision of an English-language series about the entire Carpathian Basin to life—hopefully on platforms like Netflix, HBO, or another major streaming service.

Your donations go directly towards covering production costs, including the crew, travel expenses, lodging, and editing time, and they enable me to focus on this project full-time throughout the fall. I’m giving it my absolute all, because that’s the only way I know how to do it.
