The Teacher Who Helps Fund Medical Treatment For The Most Needy Students | Soraya Motaharnia, Iran

Soraya Motaharnia, a Top 10 finalist for the Global Teacher Prize 2021, teaches at 15th Khordad Foundation Elementary School.

She is celebrated in her native Iran for funding students in need of medical and surgical treatment and providing financial assistance to hundreds of indigent students.

She has also helped to get dilapidated schools rebuilt and uses innovative teaching methods that make learning fun. These methods are culturally and globally enriching, helping many students get into good university placements and rewarding professional careers.

Her commitment to caring for the most deprived has seen her set up a charity for needy students and women. She has also raised funds for earthquake and flood victims and won a host of awards for her selfless activities.
