This is my last video for the year. As this year closes, more new videos will be uploaded in the New Year.

As of November 2016, the Orion V fleet in NYMTA is no more. After 18 years in service, these buses have actually surpassed their life expectancy by at least 4-5 years. They were not expected to live past 12 years because of the shoddy build quality along with the bodies & frames that have rusted out pretty rapidly over time.

These buses have been through so many places within the five boroughs, in depots like Mother Clara Hale, Amsterdam, Gun Hill, West Farms, Kingsbridge, Eastchester, Casey Stengel, College Point, JFK(for a short stint), LaGuardia(for a short stint), Castleton, Yukon & Charleston, Grand Avenue & East New York(for a short stint).

What you'll see here are a bunch of videos of the fleet in action. All of these videos were taken between 2008 and 2016. These buses were powered by a Detroit Diesel Series 50 DDEC engine with an Allison B-400R transmission.
