The Festival Overture Composed by Chao Chi-Ping

樂曲以熱烈快速的樂句和嗩吶、鑼鼓的齊鳴，勾畫出一幅節日慶典的場面，樂曲的對比中段則以如歌的慢板展現出一派盛世祥和的氣氛。再現段將喜慶的節日氣氛推向高潮，在歡騰激昂的情緒中結束全曲。
The piece begins with fast-paced legato. With suona horn, gong and drum sounding together, the tune depicts a tableau of a festive holiday. In the middle section of the piece, as contrasted to the first, it applies adagio causabile to convey a time of peace and prosperity. The recapitulation returns to the festive feeling, pushing the holiday atmosphere to its climax. The piece ends in a jubilant and boiling mood.
