Scenic Wicklow Mountains/Historic Glendalough Monastery-Day Trip from Dublin, Ireland

We took a great day trip from Dublin to the beautiful Wicklow Mountains and the historic Glendalough Monastery with our singing tour guide. The scenic Wicklow mountains include a lot of bogs and streams-the Guinness family estate is here and the movie "Braveheart" was filmed in this area. The Glendalough monastery is several hundred years old and you can still see many of the old buildings, including the Round Tower, The Cathedral, the Priest's house, St. Kevin's Church, and the old cemetery. There is also a beautiful lake and green hills nearby.
