The Canonization / John Donne/ in Tamil / Bharath Ravindran. This is one of Donne's well-known poem. He loved Anne More passionately. The elopement and subsequent marriage with her ruined his fortunes. Someone dissuades him from love-making. The poet asks him to hold his tongue. He says further that no one is harmed by his love-making. Their story may not be considered important for being carved on tombstones or to build big monuments, but they will be remembered in lyrics and sonnets. They saw in each other's eyes the reflection of the whole world. They are saints of love. So people would address their prayers to them and ask them to pray on their behalf.
