God of War 3 demo: Secret, hidden data

Описание к видео God of War 3 demo: Secret, hidden data

I discovered that the God of War 3 demo has some secret data that can be loaded, with some interesting consequences.

**UPDATE**: I found all the secret areas as well as secret weapons, watch it here:    • God of War 3: Demo - New Secrets Reve...

If you want to learn all the glitches, skips and glitch-techniques that my colleagues and I have found in this game. You can check-out our GoWIII Glitch FAQ: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps3/943...

Points of Interest:
1. The Helios door is surrounded by an alternate, hidden trigger which loads an alternate Eos once activated. (An abandoned section of the demo? The full game in progress?)

2. One way to do it is by doing a Collision High Jump to the left of the (revealed) Helios door. Then simply pulling yourself up onto the door and double jump up to the upper areas of the door, where the trigger is.

3. You will know that the secret area is loaded once you see the ambient light change to a light orange color, at the Helios Arena. You will then see some tutorial text, and some of the Eos cave collision intersects awkwardly with the Helios Arena collision.

4. Now you just have to open the door and enter a strange new dimension...

A large geometric object looms above, near the entrance, and halfway through the first tunnel there is an orange geometric object which can be activated by Head of Helios.

Activating the first orange geometric object shows a glitched-looking cutscene of a much larger area of the demo. An area that looks very similar to the actual game. And you'll notice that the large chain is not at its usual location in the demo...it's instead very far away to the right...

Incidentally, activating Head of Helios at any time - at the area where the first orange box is – will repeat the glitched-looking cutscene.

5. To the left there is another orange geometric shape which has nothing behind it once you use Head of Helios on it.

6. Attacking the enemies causes the camera to quickly pan away to some area (the chain?), and then you hear some Atari-sounding beeps. (?)

These enemies are glitched, in that they are missing some combat data. For example you can grab enemies, but you can't do any of the follow-up moves to them (i.e. throw, rip etc.) In fact, the enemies are extremely robust and difficult to kill.

7. At this alternate Eos, some of the surrounding collision is not solid.

8. If you backtrack to the Helios Arena it's no longer loaded, going out-of-bounds can cause Kratos' textures to become glitched, looking very interesting. (Not in vid due to corrupted file).

9. Interestingly, there is a new secret tunnel that leads left and backwards towards the Helios Arena, and there is a gate there.

However, there is no solid floor in front of it, and when I tried to jump towards the gate I fell out-of-bounds.

10. I noticed that the majority of this large, alternate Eos area, is to the far right of where the chain normally is in the demo. And there may be a way to get there.

Testing an out-of-bounds route is tricky due to the fact that falling out-of-bounds and dying, results in a softlock. Forcing you to play the demo from the start after each test to find an oob route.

Also, you can see all sorts of geometric objects located at the larger – to date, unreachable – Eos area. Including some more orange (possibly functional?) geometric objects.

11. Since I was busy with this glitch, I've not tested the Levitation glitch properly in the demo (it is possible to get up to the area where the levitation collision is). After just a few tests there was no levitation, but I didn't try much. Levitation may be a viable option to reaching the chain.

Any chance that I can get someone else to verify this glitch? I'm curious to know if it works on all the God of War 3 demos. Mine is just the standard demo which I downloaded today from the Playstation Store.
