Ageing affects our stem cell capacity to repair our tissues and leads to permanent cell damage and age-associated diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer's, and heart disease. Scientists have recently demonstrated that they can reverse the ageing process in aged mice by transplanting them with CASIN-treated blood stem cells.

Results of this project were published in the journal Regenerative Medicine, from the Nature Group, by the IDIBELL's Stem Cell Aging Group led by M. Carolina Florian.
