In the lab, Jagoda is trying to build human blood vessels with a 3D bioprinter. Is this possible? It's like building a tiny living system! In order to recreate the blood vessels structure, she uses a 3D bioprinter that works with bio-ink, made of hydrogel filled with human-induced pluripotent stem cells.

Stand-up science is an audiovisual project for scientific dissemination promoted by IDIBELL (Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute) and the L'Hospitalet city council, with the collaboration of Torre Barrina, Eduscopi montage and FECYT support. In this edition, the project was cofunded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union. Also, this project received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research & Innovation program under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship Grant Agreement (No 101025242). Its main objective is to become a platform for our young researchers (mostly doctoral students) to reach all audiences. In the fourth edition, Stand-up science opened a call for young researchers at IDIBELL. Participants joined a 3-day hands-on course on how to create science videos on YouTube. During the training they had the opportunity to write their own scripts, based on their research and current work, and test them in front of a live audience during the Torre Barrina "Summer Experience" event in July 2023.
