DMP BOTTLE MANUFACTURES EXPRESS GRIEVANCES OVER GOVT’S BAN OF BOTTLES U-1 LITR

Regarding an order issued by the State government regarding ban of plastic water bottles under 1 litre and all single use plastic bags with effect from August 1, NLTV had an interaction with the owners and staff of viva, dew drops and zion water bottle plants. The owners' response to the ban did not seem very positive. While Acknowledging the ban that aimed to move towards plastic management in the state, the owners expressed grievances at the non-prior information that was issued. They stated that they were not informed about the ban in advance and hence, the stocks now will go futile. They stressed that their demand for bottles in the market are majorly of 300ml and 500 ml and according to that, they stock up the demands in advance. They appealed to the concerned department to bring up a solution for their concern.
