A small shootout, which wasn't intended as public initially, of Mics that we use for guitar recording: Heil PR20, Shure SM57, Shure Beta57, Sennheiser e906.

Guitars: ESP Mirage Custom '88 and Gibson U2 '88 (both with SD Blackouts AHB-1), Elixir 10-52 strings

Bass: Warwick Streamer Stage I 5

Amplification: Yerasov GT-1 ► MesaBoogie Dual Rectifier ► Yerasov Bull 4x12 cab (Vintage 30)

Recording: Custom tube preamp with transformer input ► Apogee AD-8000 ► Digidesign 192 I/O ► ProTools HD (a subtle master compression)
