Continuing our Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 Beginner's Guide series, we are taking a look at Allied Javelin Soldiers: Javelins are Allies Tier 1 anti-air / anti-armor infantry. They deal very good damage against vehicles and aircrafts, and are much cheaper than Soviet Flak Troopers. Javelin's special ability is to switch from Rocket Launcher to Laser Lock. This takes 4 seconds to charge up, but upon locking onto anything, said target will be torn down in a matter of seconds by Jav's insane DPS.

For Javelin Soldier's strategy, you can combo them with Riptides via a Naval Opener. Once ejected inside enemy base, Javelins can wreck absolute havoc, while Riptide provides Javelins much needed protection. IFV, on the other hand, is mostly only used for transporting Javelin, as Javelin IFV's rocket barrages are ill-suited for combat.

Stay tuned as we go through the basic information, functions, unit interactions, and tips & tricks of each individual unit in the game and discuss the tactics / strategies you can pull off with them.
