Railroad Yard Switching On Shortline Railroad Indiana & Ohio Railway. Breaking Down A Train On I&O

Watch how trains switch railroad yards. This is a complete switching job to breakdown a gravel train that just arrived for loading. This 4 track yard has a railroad crossing at the north end and is Indiana And Ohio Railway ( I&O ). CSX use to operate this ex Baltimore & Ohio Railroad line that runs from Cincinnati to Columbus, Ohio. This train left Under Cliff Yard in Cincinnati in the morning and arrived here at Melvin Stone in the early evening on March 18, 2020. Melvin Stone is located just east of Wilmington , Ohio at the small town of Melvin. This train will load here and return as a shuttle train to Cincinnati. This shuttle operation started about ten years ago and today Melvin delivers to Logan, Ohio , Undercliff Yard in Cincinnati and a new startup shuttle to the west side of Cincinnati near Harrison, Ohio on an I&O branch.
