HOW TO SET UP A SCENE WITH SHAGGY FOR ANIMATION.

Описание к видео HOW TO SET UP A SCENE WITH SHAGGY FOR ANIMATION.

IN THIS EPISODE: Continuing with the scene of Shaggy and Scooby-Doo looking screen left, here’s how to set up the animation drawings and write the numbers on the exposure sheets. This is old school pencil and paper animation, before digital animation. You won’t do this in a studio job, but if you are making y our own film, you might be doing it this way. I did some Assistant animation on a Scooby Doo show many years ago. Here’s how it was done back then at Hanna-Barbera. Limited animation is what this was called. All drawings were transferred to animation cells using a Xerox process, and painted on the reverse side for a clean look. The exposure sheet used here is from WB recently, so the columns to write the animation drawing numbers are very narrow, and are mainly used by the animation timers, not the animators overseas. In the next video, I will get more in to the details of how the x-sheets work as they will get sent to the next departments. Watch this episode to see how to expose your drawings on the sheets, and the next video to see how they all work. Keep drawing!
