As usual, a funny old mixed bag of themes. Partly I just wanted to go and visit an old favourite pub: the Harrow Inn at Steep, near Petersfield in Hampshire. While in the area I thought I'd go for a walk and a wild camp, passing close to Harting, where Hilaire Belloc's classic love letter to Sussex "The Four Men" ended. Then I found a woody spot on the South Downs for a wild camp, and tested out my new Nordisk Lofoten tent (if you can call it that, it's more of a "luxury" hooped bivvy really). Dinner cooked on a twig stove and some Gevrey Chambertin to accompany, obvs.
