Oft heralded as the Anti-Dodos, the Hoppin Grasshoppers and the Dodos were actually pretty good friends, having came up in the same scene and really being the only ones who could understand the other groups level of fame and scrutiny. This single was taken from the 1967 LP, 'Six Satanic Princes Present: The Hoppin Grasshoppers'. A divergence from their usual brand of dark sweaty mix of rock and blues, with touches of pop excellence, the entire album was a concept record of the darkest kind. Personally, it is among our favorite of their records.
