Vortex Venom 1-6x24 LPVO Review

Описание к видео Vortex Venom 1-6x24 LPVO Review

In this video I get my hands on the NEW Vortex Venom 1-6x24 LPVO, and I'll jump straight to my opinion. It's epic. I ended up purchasing 3 of these for some rifles I had that needed optics. I had previously used one of these in the Fight Lite SCR video I did. Here's the link to that video.    • FightLite SCR , 50 State Compliant AR ?  .

When it comes to the Vortex Venom lineup I'm no stranger, and am familiar with their Red Dots as well as their scopes. We'll be doing a P320 vs Glock 19 video soon, and the Glock 19 is equipped with a Vortex Venom Red Dot. In the Vortex Venom lineup there's: The Vortex Venom 5-25x56 which is an extremely impressive scope more than capable of getting you out well beyond 1000 yards. There's the NEW Vortex Venom 3-15x44 which is excellent for long range shots, but also has an impressive field of view for those up close shots!
.
I got the opportunity to use the Vortex Venom 1-6x24 for a review of the Fightlite SCR rifle review, and I can tell you it definitely holds up to recoil, and doesn't loose zero. I shot quite a bit through the rifle during the video.
However jumping to this video I decided to once again use the DirtyBird Enhanced Reece Rifle because of its proven ability to deliver sub MOA groups consistently. For ammo I used Winchester 223 55gr FMJs.
.
I opted to go with a vortex cantilever 1 piece mount for this video, and it did exactly what I wanted. You need a good mount, or scope rings to hold zero.
Mounting it I did as I always do, and used a leveling tool, and torque wrench. you don't want to over tighten anything as it could damage it. Under tightening can lead to a bad day at the range when everything comes loose hahaha ask me how I know! After getting it mounted I moved to getting it sighted in, and used my new close sight in procedure. I shoot at a point of aim, and expect to get a hit at a set distance below the point of aim. It has been working really well. This allows me to get a pretty close zero for 100 yards, and then I confirm, and adjust it at 100 yards. After getting it zeroed I started sending rounds down range at a 10" plate, and 8" plate placed at 100 yards. From there I took it out to 200 yards shooting at a large silhouette, and 20" plate. I was happy hearing the report of the ringing steel!
.
This optic impressed me so much I ended up buying 3 of them. The turrets are capped, and I like that in an LPVO as I mostly use hold overs anyways. The turrets have very positive feedback, and crisp audible clicks letting you know you have made adjustments. The Eye relief is excellent, and there is no tunneling even on the highest magnification. It is reasonably light weight at just over 1lb. With a massive 140 MOA total elevation, and windage this LPVO is more than impressive! I like that the graduation is 1/4 MOA, and 25 MOA per rotation made it easy to get it set.
This thing has a massive field of view on 1x, and on 6x. Thanks to the anti reflective multi coated lenses this thing is excellent in low light situations such as dusk/dawn. It is Nitrogen gas purged, and O-ring sealed which give it the waterproof/fogproof properties. Its also extremely recoil/impact resistant, and I can attest to that as I'm not very gentle with my gear. I like that they
