In this video we take a look at the Vortex Diamondback Tactical 4-16x44 First Focal Plane with EBR-2c Reticle, and I have to say I was more than impressed.
.
The Vortex Diamondback Series of products are affordably priced, and punch well above their weight class. The diamondback series isn't limited to just rifle scopes, but also includes Spotting scopes, Binoculars, and Range. Finders.
Like Vortex Diamondback 10x42 Binoculars, Vortex Diamondback HD 10x42 Binoculars, Vortex Diamondback 12x50 Binoculars, Vortex Diamondback 6-24x50 rifle scope, Vortex Diamondback 3-9x40 scope, and more. I also got a chance to do a Vortex Diamondback tactical 6-24x50 review, and was again impressed. A good baseline for review Is Vortex Crossfire vs Diamondback Binoculars.
.
Back to the main point. The Vortex Diamondback series is versatile, affordable, and durable. Backed by the Vortex VIP warranty which covers practically anything that happens to the products. Vortex will repair, or replace them for life.

After getting the scope mounted I wanted to preform a tracking test. In this test I strap the rifle down securely to a lead sled, and aim at a tracking target from a set distance. dial up, right, down, left, and verify that we are back at the original point of aim. I will eventually get a film through scope camera so you can see this test preformed. I wasn't surprised at the results, because all vortex scopes I've checked in the past have had no issues tracking with extreme precision. While preforming the test I took note of just how crisp the turret clicks are. This is important for me I want to hear, and feel each adjustment so I don't have to come off the scope, and look at the turrets. Something I really like is the side parallax adjustment. Some scopes place it on the objective end, and when you have scope caps it can be a pain to have to keep removing the cap to clear up the image at different distances. Low light test was the next thing I looked at. Here where I live summer months are scorching hot, and so we tent to shoot closer to dusk/dawn. Thanks to the fully multi coated lenses the light transmission is excellent in low light situations. The eye relief is generous at around 4 inches, and the field of view is excellent as well. on the highest magnification (16x) at 100 yards I can see well beyond my target racks. I'll go ahead, and list the specs below. These scopes are Nitrogen gas purged, and o-ring sealed. that is what provides the waterproof/fogproof performance in all conditions. When it comes to shockproof the get a solid 10/10 in my opinion as I have put them to the test with normal drops etc. and they have no issues holding up to high levels of recoil like my 7mm rem mag. So I'd say they' get another 10/10 for impact resistance.
