Yorushika Medley - ヨルシカ | NTU Guitar Ensemble

Performed by NTU Guitar Ensemble at Nocturne 2023, held at NAFA Lee Foundation Theatre on 2 April 2023.

Japanese pop-rock duo, Yorushika, are known for their pairing of upbeat music with introspective lyrics that discuss deeper themes about life and the human experience. Their extensive discography is characterised by their distinctive, youthful sound, usually backed by a strong guitar riff and bright hooks. NTUGE guitarist, Soon Chia Wen, has picked seven iconic songs from Yorushika’s vault and pieced them together into a unique medley, perfectly capturing the essence of Yorushika’s repertoire, as well as the wide, diverse essence of life itself.

The medley consists of:

- Blooming in That Summer あの夏に咲け
- Just a Sunny Day for You ただ君に晴れ
- Parade パレード
- Ghost in a Flower 花に亡霊
- That's Why I Gave Up on Music だから僕は音楽を辞めた
