Ice Age 2 GBA Any% Speedrun in

I wanted to achieve sub 1:40 since I figured out 3 new routes that allowed me to save 3 minutes over my previous PB.

About this run:

I played the USA version using BizHawk 2.8 Emu with an Xbox 360 controller. I turned off the in-game music and played some soundtracks of the game in the background.

I overkilled my PB with a sub 1:38 run! Over 5 minutes saved and probably the last minute barrier broken with the current strats! I erased all the heavy mistakes I made and got some really good RNG on Crash & Eddie.

The new routes:

Geyser Field Level 3: Instead of melting the last ice blocks, I can just move around with Manny and Diego to reach the exit. This route saved about 32s.

Geyser Field Level 6: It is possible to skip melting the cube on the right by passing downwards with Manny. This route could have saved 36s here instead of 24s.

Forest Level 6: It is possible for Sid and Diego to sneak between the last gate and the wall in order to reach the exit. So, I no longer need to push the rock all the way down to the switch, I just need Sid to go on it to make Manny reach the exit. Then I searched the fastest route to make Manny go past the rock and finish the level. This route saved 2m10s here.

Biggest time losses:
12s in Geyser Field Level 6: I messed up with Sid going on a switch, I missed 1 geyser cycle.
8s in Ice Floes Level 1: I'm 1 green geyser cycle late.
10s in Ice Floes Level 5: I did many movement mistakes because of my nerves.
At least 20s from bad RNG on some Crash & Eddie and Bosses.

So, with even better RNG, sub 1:37 may be achievable but I won't attempt is until someone eventually beats this PB.

Next, I'll try improving the 100% categàry to achieve sub 2:05.
