Durian is a fruit that I disliked as a child but enjoy eating very much now that I'm older. One way I enjoy eating it is in Durian Sticky Rice ข้าวเหนียวทุเรียน. Durian is fruit native to Southeast Asia and is one of those fruits that you either hate or love. There are many varieties of durian fruit that have different tastes and aroma. Regardless of the varieties, the smell of durian is usually strong. It's smell and taste range anywhere from mango and pineapple to onion and gasoline. This is what makes the fruit controversial, aside from its intimidating appearance. Are there certain foods that you hated as a child but enjoy now?

Durian - 5 pieces
Sticky Rice - 1 cup
Pandan Leaves - 4 leaves

Coconut Milk Marinade for Sticky Rice
Coconut Milk - 1 cup
White Sugar - 4 tbsp
Salt - 1/4 tsp

Coconut Durian Soup
Coconut Milk - 2 cups
Palm Sugar - 6 tbsp (will vary based on the sweetness of your durian, start with less and adjust)
Salt - 1/2 tsp
