Can you immediately hear the difference between G713b9 and G7alt? Can you sing the b9 over a Major 7th chord? Can you sing three chords at the same time?

In this video I demonstrate 5 things that I practiced to improve my musical hearing. I don't have perfect pitch, but these exercises helped me fit the notes that I play with the sounds I hear in the rest of the band. I've also composed songs (by accident) by using these exercises.

The basic techniques are:

1) Common Chord Tone Singing
2) Random Chord Tapestry
3) Chord Stacking
4) The Surprise Playalong
5) Singing the Bass Notes while Improvising
