Lindy Hop is a Black American Dance

Описание к видео Lindy Hop is a Black American Dance

Most of the time, when people think about Swing Dancing, they think about white teenagers in the 1950s, but Lindy Hop is part of the rich cultural heritage of Black Americans, and learning about the people who made it and the struggles they encountered can have a huge impact on your appreciation of and your execution of Lindy Hop.

Lindy Hop is a Black American dance, and, as such, it is important that all Lindy Hoppers stand up for Black Americans. I am so grateful to this culture for making the gorgeous and versatile expression of joy and rhythm that is Lindy Hop.
