Do the Retro Zelda Games ACTUALLY Hold Up?

Zelda 1, Zelda 2, A Link to The Past. These are names that most people who know anything about the Zelda series will probably find familiar, but how good are these games to play now? I've gone from only having played Tears of The Kingdom and Breath of The Wild to having played the majority of Zelda games, including Zelda 1, 2, and A Link to The Past, so I have a pretty fair opinion on whether or not they hold up now.
