Allis Chalmers Model G Rods, Switches & Valves - Controls to Start a Model G

Starting an Allis-Chalmers Model G is NOT an intuitively obvious process.
The tractor should either be taken out of gear or the clutch should be engaged.
The Throttle or Governor Control position will vary, depending on the individual tractor, but I would try somewhere between the middle of the quadrant and 1/4 forward from the rear of the quadrant. (Lever full forward is maximum RPM)
The Switch on the Electrical Panel needs to be pulled out to the "ON" position, the Fuel Shutoff Valve needs to be fully opened, the Starter Rod (Right Fender) is then pulled while simultaneously pulling the Choke Rod (Left Fender) as needed.
6 Volt Systems are finicky... they really need heavy gauge wiring and clean electrical connections. The starter uses brushes... when was the last time those were replaced...
Good luck!
