Serra Titiz, bir sosyal girişimci olarak, 2003 senesinden beri sürdürülebilir kalkınma alanında çalışmaktadır. Türkiye’de farklı sivil toplum örgütlerinde gençler, kadınlar ve mesleki gruplarla birlikte çalışmış, sivil toplumda sahada ve yönetim seviyesinde oluşturduğu uzmanlıklarını şirketlerin toplumsal yatırım ve sürdürülebilirlik çalışmalarıyla bütünleştirmiş, model olan ve sosyal etkisi yüksek projelere imza atmıştır.
Serra Titiz, 2007 yılında kar-amacı gütmeyen Mikado Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Danışmanlığı şirketini kurmuştur. Mikado, sürdürülebilir kalkınma için modeller geliştiren bir sosyal girişimdir. Mikado, sorumlu bir özel sektörün oluşumuna, sürdürülebilir ve şeffaf bir sivil toplumun gelişimine ve sosyal inovasyon ile toplumsal değişime katkı sağlayan çalışmalar yürütmektedir. (www.mikadoconsulting.com) Mikado, Türkiye’nin ilk B Corp şirketi olmakla gurur duymaktadır.
Mikado bünyesinde gelişen modellere bir örnek, “Gelecek Daha Net” Gençlik Platformu’dur. www.gelecekdaha.net, gençlerin gelecekleri ile ilgili bilinçli karar vermelerini sağlamak amacıyla bilgi ve tecrübeyi yer ve zaman kısıtı olmadan, gençler ve profesyoneller arasında yaratıcı yöntemlerle paylaştıran, teknoloji yoluyla sosyal inovasyon örneği bir sosyal girişimdir. GDN, 2014 yılında BMW Foundation Responsible Leaders ödülüne layık görülmüştür.

As a Social Entrepreneur, Serra Titiz has been working in the field of sustainable development since 2003. She has worked together with various civil societies relating to youth, women, and occupational groups and has stood out in her field. With the extensive experience she has gained in the world of civil societies and in management in her own subject area, she has been a part of various projects in institutions for social investment and sustainable development.
In 2007, Ms. Titiz established the non-profit Mikado Sustainable Development Consulting Company where models for sustainable development are set up. The company’s mission is to contribute in the development of a responsible private sector, to a sustainable and transparent civil society development, and social innovation. Mikado (www.mikadconsulting.com) is proud to be Turkey’s first B Corp company.
An example of a model developed by Mikado is the “Clearer Future” (GDN) Youth Platform, www.gelecekdaha.net, aimed to help the young in making decisions they are more aware of without the constraint of place or time, to provide a creative platform of exchange between professionals and young citizens, and to offer an innovative way of communication through technology. In 2014, GDN was given the BMW Foundation’s Responsible Leaders award.
Serra Titiz is also an Ashoka Fellow and Eisenhower fellow.
