Adirondack Nationals Car Show in Lake George NY

Woah, what a show! My Classic Car is in Lake George New York for the Adirondack Nationals, and among the more than 1500 cars are some classics we never see anywhere. One we had to show off is a rare mid-sized Pontiac; the 1977 Can Am LeMans! One of only 1,377 built, this race-inspired sport coupe features classic Pontiac bodylines with a bit of 70’s flare and is considered by some to be the last muscle car. But first up, it’s one bad T-Bucket Roadster built in 1978. From the triple 4-Barrel carburetors all the way down to the Stache-tastic zoomie pipes sprouting from the block, the monstrous souped-up 454 engine is a showstopper in itself. Then it’s a bit of a Heinz 57 – from 1954. This Dreamsicle Corvette RestoMod features a mix of modern running gear sitting underneath a uniquely customized classic Corvette body. But with its 400 HP engine, this Jazzy ’54 has as much power as it does style. After that, Dennis heads over to check out a screaming Rainbow-flake ’67 Galaxie convertible that’s ready for some fun in the sun. Still packing the original 289 Challenger V8 engine, this slammed Ford is low but not slow. We wrapped up our trip to the Upstate New York with another classic that you just don’t see anymore, especially in this limited edition. This 1974 AMC Matador X is mostly stock and features a special trim package, bucket seats, and a floor shifter in addition to the original 5.9 L 360 V8.
