RED HOOD
Born to an unidentified mother (later revealed to be Sheila Haywood) and Willis Todd, Jason Todd was the product of an unexpected conception in an alleyway. Haywood would abandon Jason after the conception, after which Willis would start a relationship with Catherine Elizabeth Todd, who would become Jason’s stepmother (though Jason labored under the misapprehension that she was his true mother). Jason had a troubled upbringing as the result of his parents constantly bickering. Catherine was a medically depressed drug addict, and Willis taught Jason in the arts of thievery and conning, which often got him into trouble. At a young age, Jason would frequent the Lucius Fox Community Center, where he met a street smart girl named Gabby Christiansen, who persisted in helping him, despite his instinctive standoffishness. In return, he would protect her from bullies, something he would remember fondly in adulthood. At some point, Willis stole tickets to a circus performance from an old couple in a parking lot and took Jason to see the Flying Graysons perform. That was the first time he had ever seen Dick Grayson and was positively awed by his acrobatics. As a teenager, Jason was struggling to support Catherine, fighting for survival in Gotham City, New Jersey, which had gone feral. When Jason’s best friend, Chris gave him a mask belonging to a dead member of the Red Hood Gang-who was led by the man who would later become the Joker-to join in on the Red Hood Gang’s revival and become who he wanted to be, Jason agreed and assumed the codename “Red Hood Four”. On the eve of the gang’s revival, Jason, wanting to be a hero, stepped in on a fight between some gang members and Talia al Ghul, who had been investigating the gang itself. Jason earned Talia’s respect and impressed her further by showing off a fighting move even she could not master. Despite Jason’s desire for peace, Talia murdered the leader of the Red Hood Revival gang anyway, and endeavored to keep an eye on Jason. Unbeknownst to Jason, the original Red Hood, now known as The Joker, was keeping tabs on Jason. Recognizing his prowess, Joker would orchestrate the events in Jason’s life that led him to meet Batman so that he could kill Jason to hurt the former. The Joker took steps to ensure that Willis would wind up arrested and apparently killed, and killed Catherine using a toxin to feign an overdose. Jason, believing himself an orphan, was reduced to stealing to survive. One night, Jason attempted to steal the tires off the Batmobile, only for Batman to catch him red-handed.
Joker then brutally beat Jason and left him and Sheila to die from a time bomb. Talia Al Ghul found Jason’s body and resurrected him in the Lazarus Pit. Jason, at Talia’s behest, trained under Ducra, instructor for the order of monks known as the All-Caste. He had joined the League of Assassins briefly, but left the group upon realizing their true purpose. He resurfaced in Gotham as Red Hood, adopting the codename from that of the Joker’s former identity. After a failed attempt at getting revenge on Batman and Joker, and many other encounters with Batman and his allies, Red Hood fought crime around the world.

SUPERMAN
Kal-El was born on the distant world of Krypton to gifted scientist Jor-El and his lover, Lara Lor-Van, in the midst of his home planet’s destruction. Desperate to preserve their race, Jor-El sent Kal-El away from Krypton to planet Earth, after which Krypton was completely destroyed.
Upon his space capsule’s arrival, crash landing in the township of Smallville, Kansas, an infantile Kal-El was discovered by farmer Jonathan Kent and his wife, Martha Kent, who took the baby in as their own. Kal-El’s name was legally changed to Clark Joseph Kent in order to make his identity more in keeping with that of other humans, in spite of his alien identity.
Although Clark’s powers gave him an advantage, he did make quite a few enemies in the process, such as Brainiac, Zod, and most notably his archnemesis, Lex Luthor.
Clark would later go on to help found the Justice League, with other heroes such as Batman and Wonder Woman, along with others.
