संत रविदास महाराज यांचा जन्म उत्तर प्रदेशातील काशी शहराच्या जवळ मांडूर गावात १४५० मध्ये त्यांचा जन्म झाला असे सांगण्यात येते. त्यांच्या आई वडिलांचे नाव रघु आणि कालसी होते. त्यांचे वडील हे व्यवसायाने चांभार होते.काही लोक असे म्हणतात कि संत रोहिदास यांचा जन्म हा वाराणसी मधील गोवर्धनपूर येथे झाला होता. पण रविदास यांनी रैदास रामायणात त्यांनी आपले जन्मठिकाण मांडूर हेच सांगितले आहे.
