การฟ้อนโปงลางนะครับ ถือว่าเป็นการฟ้อนดั้งเดิมของวิทยาลัยนาฏศิลป์ กาฬสินธุ์ เลยก็ว่าได้นะครับ เพราะว่าเหมือนกับเป็นการปูพื้นฐาน ท่าฟ้อนง่าย ๆ และลักษณะเท้าที่หลากหลายจากชุดชุดนี้และจากท่าฟ้อนชุดหนักนี้มาแตกกระจายเป็นชุดฟ้อนอื่น ๆ เช่น ชุดฟ้อนบายศรี ฟ้อนแพรวากาฬสินธุ์ ถือว่าเป็นการฟ้อนแม่หลักของการแสดงอีสานของวิทยาลัยนาฏศิลป์กาฬสินธุ์เลยครับ ที่โยงกับโปงลางเพราะเราใช้ลายโปงลางประกอบการแสดง ประกอบการฟ้อนครับ

You could say that Forn pong lang is an original dance from Kalasin Thai Dance College, because it is like a foundation with the easy actions and various foot movements from this dance having been adapted into other dances such as Forn Baisri, Forn Phraewa Kalasin. This dance is the core of Isan performance from Kalasin Thai Dance College. Why is it linked to pong lang, the Isan log xylophone? Because lai (melodic pattern) pong lang is used to organise the performance and dance.
