The best mountain bike trail in Spain? It’s a hefty claim to make, and 'the best' is always debatable…However, it’s made my top five enduro descents of all time!

El Cebollar is otherwise known as ‘Route 29’ and is maintained by Zona Zero. This is the same organisation that runs and maintains the trails that the EWS just enjoyed in northern Spain.

It’s a pretty long climb, but the stunning natural beauty of the place is overwhelming. The descent throws absolutely everything it has at you. It’s scary steep, loose, dry, has all kinds of terrain from narrow-ledge (half) single track that is desperate to throw you off… to dark woods where you can hardly see a damn thing. In short, it’s one of the most complete and dare I say it 'best' mtb trails in Spain. Put it on your list! Routes: ZZ-029 La Ruta del Cebollar and ZZ-006 Trilogía de San Vicente.
