How-to dismantle the Moulton F-frame fork

Описание к видео How-to dismantle the Moulton F-frame fork

Here have tried to show the stages you have to go through to disassemble the forks from a 60's Moulton.

Remember these forks are now getting on for 50 years old and can be in pretty poor condition, so be careful when dismantling. I'd especially recommend using penetrating fluid to try to help remove the deeply recessed rebound stop retaining screw as that is mission critical and has to be removed to allow the forks to separate. It can be a great deal more reluctant to turn than it was on these forks. Try to be careful with all the components - while replacement nylon bushes and bellows are available from Moulton Preservation (if you are a Moulton club member) the rest of the components are not. I also suspect (but do not know) that it may not be sensible to try to swap parts between forks unless you really have to.

Hope that helps if you are about to dismantle your first set of Moulton forks to refurbish the bike! Good luck
