Gurus, Mithya, and Kshatriyata (2 of 6)

Описание к видео Gurus, Mithya, and Kshatriyata (2 of 6)

Rajiv Malhotra and Swami Chidanandapuri discuss the problems among Hindu gurus today who do not like to take on problems in the real world. Swamiji says that this is because such gurus have not studied sastras in the traditional way. He says that sastras exhort one to do purvapaksha of any opponent without fear or favour but that gurus who shy away from it are those who want to be in a safe (comfort zone). Rajiv Malhotra laments that followers of gurus are prone to be escapist, avoiding any topic that seems controversial and challenging. Both agree that an ostrich like attitude of not facing up to the realities of the day does not augur well for the future of Hindus.
