The ICCT in collaboration with NITI Aayog organized a one-day National Workshop on Low Emission Zones (LEZs) in Cities. LEZs are designated areas in a city, where certain vehicles, particularly those with high tailpipe emissions, are restricted or prohibited. They have proven effective in reducing air pollution worldwide and play a crucial role in promoting the adoption of electric vehicles, aligning with Government of India’s proactive advocacy in this area.
