Panel 1 -- Low-emission zones: Understanding the concept

Beyond the textbook definition, what exactly are Low-emission Zones (LEZs)? The first panel discussion during the one-day National Workshop on Low-emission Zones in Cities, convened by the ICCT in collaboration with NITI Aayog, begins with short presentation on how a few cities in Europe piloted LEZs and what has been the impact so far. The panel then discusses the relevance of LEZs in India and some precursors to be cognizant of, as Indian cities consider implementing similar interventions.
