Every Special day is incomplete in our house without these Chatpati Kachori or even at the time of travelling these kachori are well to go dish as it’s last Upto 2-3 days. Tangy and spiced black chickpea powder (Sattu) is stuffed inside flaky pastry dough and deep fried.

Kachori is a brilliant snack and is famously prepared during the festive season of Holi. Kachori is a classic Rajasthani breakfast dish that is stuffed with various fillings like green moong dal or even sweets like mawa and nuts.

But if you are looking for something different, do give this Kachori a try that you can also serve as evening snack, tea time snack or a party starter.

Serve Chatpati Sattu Kachori with Aloo tari wali sabji or with Dhaniya Pudina Chutney or Imli chutney as an evening snack along with a cup of Adrak Chai or at Holi with a glass of chilled Thandai.

Ingredients for Sattu Kachori (for 15 Kachori)

For Dough -
Wheat Flour - 1 cup
AP Flour - 1 cup
Refine Oil - 3-4 tbsp
Black Jeera / Kalonji - 1 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Semolina/ Suji - 2 tbsp
Water - 3/4 cup
Desi Ghee - 1 tsp

For Sattu stuffing -
Sattu - 1 cup
Onion - 1 small chopped
Garlic - 6-8 cloves crushed
Green Chilli - 5 crushed
Kuti Red Chilli - 1 tbsp
Mango Pickle - 2 tbsp
Lemon Juice - 1 medium size lemon
Black Salt - 1 tsp
Normal salt - 1 tsp
Roasted Jeera Powder - 1/2 tsp
Fresh Coriander Leaves - 1 handful chopped
Mustard Oil - 1 tbsp

Oil for Deep fry
