Woodturning - The Wet Birch Experiment

Описание к видео Woodturning - The Wet Birch Experiment

I wanted to try something new for this weeks project so I decided to try a bangle bracelet. I mounted the wood sideways in the hope that it would give the finished bangle more strength as I was worried it would snap or warp heavily if it was mounted in the way the tree grew. As the title suggests, this wood was wet. Luckily it dried out well during the turning process and no cracks appeared. Since its been off of the lathe only the smaller bangle has warped, but only slightly. The smaller bangle was more of a bonus, I had originally planed to turn two the same size but the wood didn't allow it.
I hope you enjoyed the experiment, I think its something I'll try again in the future, potentially with some nicer wood. Let me know what you think.

On another note I want to say a massive thank you to everyone for helping me hit 5000 subscribers. Its such a big milestone and I'm so happy that we have hit it. I will be looking at producing a piece to mark the occasion, let me know if you have any suggestions 😁👍
