Salomon S/Lab Spectur - Carbon-Plated Racing Shoes for Slower Runners or Super Trainers?

I received the shoes for review directly from Salomon, but this did not affect my opinion in any way, and no one had the opportunity to view this material before you.

Here are some technical details:
- Upper made of breathable material, quite narrow in the middle part of the shoe
- Soft but loose tongue, very prone to folding
- Midsole made of two layers of foam - Energy Foam+ under the foot (supercritical PEBA foam, soft but providing high energy return) and standard Energy Foam (EVA foam)
- Energy Blade carbon plate along the entire length of the shoe between the two layers of foam, the plate has two wings to help stabilize the foot
- stack height: 38mm under the heel, 30mm under the midfoot, giving an 8mm drop
- shoe in size 44 2/3EU (10UK, 10.5US) weighs 268g
- Outsole covered with Contagrip rubber, flat tread, typically "racing," but the shoes grip the ground well
