I climbed Mount Whitney this December on my first solo and winter camping trip. I'd never been camping or done a big hike solo, let alone in the winter... I'm still a noob though and got caught in bad weather after the weather forecast failed to predict the heavy snow. I packed up before my second night but came back a few days later with my friend Will Carmack to day climb the Whitney Trail. It was a wonderful experience and one I'm so glad I got to experience.
