Sew Sunday 10/6/24 We just wanna Sew 😊 Part 1

Today we will embark on a Fall Quilt Adventure. We will be using 1 jellyroll (40 pieces) and 2 yards of a complementary fabric and 0.25 yard of an accent fabric.
Start with cutting 6- 5" strips of your background fabric. Subcut into 42- 5" squares
Then take your Jelly Roll pieces and cut out 2- 5" Strips and 2- 9" strips. Make your way around the 5 inch square with the 2- 5" pieces one on each side. Then add your 2- 9" pieces on the top and bottom. Next from your remaining Jelly Roll pieces cut 2- 6.5" rectangles. Cut out some of your background into 6- 2.5" strips. Subcut into 3" pieces. Attach those to your 6.5" pieces. Those will be your sashing. Next video I will cut out my accent fabric into 3- 2.5" strips sub cut into 2.5" squares for cornerstones. Follow this video and next weeks for assembling of the quilt. It is a 6 across by 7 down assembly with sashing and cornerstones.
