In this video I break down all the major edrum road cases on the market.

Roland CDTP Carrying Case: $99
It's purpose built for the Roland TD4kp. I believe it would also fit the TD1kpx2 due to the fact that they both have the same drum rack. It’s made of fabric, and has pockets for extra drumsticks, drum key’s, or beaters. It also has detachable pouches for hi hat and kick pedals. It’s gotten very good reviews. The dimensions are 23 by 13 by 27 inches (580 x 350 x 680 Millimeters) 4 Pounds 7 ounces or 2kg

Ahead Armor Cases $88 ($300ish)
It has internal removable dividers, a plush fleece lining and it’s water resistant. The thing about this product, is that it’s actually an inset for the Ahead Armor OGIO-engineered Drum Sled Case. People mistakenly buy this thinking that it’s a case in an of itself. But it’s meant to be paired with the sled case. Without that, it would be hard to move around. It doesn’t have side handles so you’d have to carry it around like a cardboard box. If you pair it with the sled, the whole setup will run you around $300.
The sizes are 38" x 16" x 14"

Gator Drum Bag w/ Divider System for Electronic Drum Set $220 (large) $190 (small)

It comes in two versions, one that’s $190, and a larger version at $220. It has a 25mm padded tricot interior with dividing system, 2 Nylon web carry handles, wheels (thank goodness) and a tow handle. Plus it has a shoulder strap that's padded and removable. And finally a Large pocket on the front of it for sticks, beaters, or other drum accessories like keys, and cables. It comes in two versions. One is
28" x 16" x 16" and the other one is 36" x 16" x 16." It has positive to mixed reviews. Some of the criticism is that the handle is too short, the wheels (while they do roll well) are slightly too narrow, and it lacks a spine so the case sags and can scrape on the ground at times under weight. So this case isn’t perfect, but still worth looking into.

Protection Racket $165

It has adjustable dividers, foam inside, a top handle strap, and two side ones, but no wheels unfortunately. It’s pretty darn heavy at 10.6 pounds. It’s got very positive reviews, one guy said “five cymbal pads four tom/snare pads. and the dtx502 controller all fit easily” another said “Good quality, but be prepared to wrestle with the divider. The Velcro is so strong it sticks to everything making it nearly impossible to weave back and forth. For the life of me I cannot understand why they didn't just make individual dividers.” This one is worth looking into. 29.9 x 29.9 x 15

Millenium E-Drum Bag 48 Euro

It has 20mm Padding, 10 variable interior compartments for pads or electronics, all of the dividers can be removed to make 1 Large interior compartment. It has 3 Large exterior pockets. It has a padded handle and a shoulder strap. 80 x 44 x 37 cm (31 X 17 X 14.5) It’s gotten positive reviews too. One guy said he fix a full TD30k pad set, module, and his hihat stand in this thing. It can fit alot of pieces, but the lack of wheels would make it tough to fill it to the brim with drum stuff and move it around. You might need a dolly with this one, but it’s at a very low price.

Gewa SPS Drum Rack Bag 180 Euro
The Gewa SPS Drum Rack bag comes in at 180 Euro, and can fit a whole roland MDS20 rack. It has 20 mm Foam padding, a shoulder strap, and two large pockets.
Size: 100 x 54 x 30 cm (39 X 21 X 12)

Gewa SPS E-Drum Gigbag 212 Euro
It’s Tear and water-resistant, It has 20 mm foam padding, and here’s one Big exterior pocket. I also has wheels and a shoulder strap.
Dimensions (W x D x H): 105 x 38 x 38 cm. The reviews have been positive, saying that this bag is very well made. They also point out that the non adjustable compartments are actually pretty darn useful because you don’t have to keep adjusting them every time you put the drums in and out of the bag. it won’t quite fit a 15” Roland cymbal sitting sideways, and the shoulder strap kinda just gets in the way. But overall this looks like a great choice especially at the price.

Drum-tec SPS E-Drum Bag - Big SIZE
This bag looks incredibly similar to the Gewa bag. It costs about $180 and has also gotten solid reviews.
