Heavy Coal Train Passes Amtrak Station On The Curves In Tyrone, Pennsylvania. NS Pittsburgh Line

Big Loaded Coal Train Passing The Amtrak Train Station In Tyrone, Pennsylvania On The Norfolk Southern Pittsburgh Line. Check Out The Cabooses & Train Station. I was on my way to Strasburg to film Thomas The Tank Engine and decided to check out this small town that is just east of Altoona. Amtrak stops here but I didn't get that lucky.
I had a quick look around between trains. There is a branch line spur that comes off the NS mainline and goes through town. It doesn't look that busy but maybe someday I can return and get a train on it. The first train is a westbound intermodal train with 3 locomotives including a Union Pacific Railroad locomotive. I was checking out the cabooses and the historic bridges when a second train came.
The second train was an eastbound loaded coal train. It had a couple of DPU locomotives mid train. I actually filmed this same train earlier in the day at Cassandra, Pennsylvania. It had two more locomotives on the rear when I caught it there but they were cut off in Altoona before it got to me the second time.
The third train is an eastbound tanker train. The covered hopper cars at both ends of this train are spacer cars. They are there to have a separation between the flammable contents in the tank cars and the ignition sources of the locomotives. I thought this would be the last train before it got too dark to film. However, after the tanker train passed I noticed that the crossing lights were still flashing . The fourth and final train of this video popped around the curve seconds later.
The fourth train was a westbound intermodal train with three NS locomotives. This train was booking pretty good. After that train passed I left Tyrone and drove straight to Strasburg where I spent the night. I will have some videos from Strasburg soon so stay tuned.
