Bruce Adami has held the position of Organist at Christ Episcopal Church, Exeter, New Hampshire since 2007. From 1984 until 2004 he was Director of Music and Organist at Brookside Congregational Church, (UCC) in Manchester, NH. There he directed several choirs and supervised the renovations of the church’s two pipe organs. Adami holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Organ Performance from Oberlin College Conservatory of Music where he studied organ with Haskell Thomson and piano with Miles Mauney and Marvin Blickenstaff. He also studied organ with John Hofmann and Erick Brunner and has taken postgraduate courses at Westminster Choir College. His several years of work with George Bozeman and Company as a pipe organ builder underlies his knowledge of the workings of the instrument. He serves on the Executive Committee of the New Hampshire Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and was previously the chapter’s Treasurer and Dean. He is a faculty member of the Young Organist Collaborative in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
