Reliving The War is a weekly show that takes an in-depth look at the WWF vs WCW “Monday Night War”. With WWF Raw airing on the USA Network and WCW Nitro airing live on TNT every Monday night, fans would choose which show to watch. This resulted in a TV ratings battle between the two companies. This time period in pro wrestling saw record viewers tuning in every week to see the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin, the nWo, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Goldberg and Sting.

It's the night after WCW Halloween Havoc 1997 and Hollywood Hogan has got his nWo championship belt back. It's announced that a contract signing is going to take place on Tuesday night for Hulk Hogan vs Sting at Starrcade 97, all Sting has to do is show up in Las Vegas while Assault on Devil's Island airs on TNT. Elsewhere on the show Hogan wrestles Diamond Dallas Page and Booker T gets a US title shot against Curt Hennig.

On the WWF Channel Bret Hart has his final Raw match of this run when he defends his WWF Championship against Ken Shamrock. D-Generation X cause more trouble, Jim Cornette tells us all how he feels about the Halloween Havoc cage match, and Mankind vs Kane gets made official for Survivor Series 1997.
