Scraping the alignment and bearing faces for the top slide on the Holbrook T13 toolroom lathe. A look at some of the issues that have to be concidered in the process. We cover the measurement of the dovetails and bringing alignment back in and maintaining it throughout the scrape. We look at some of the problems with dovetail straight edges and getting a repeatable print. Why you rough it in over both faces before putting a finishing pass. Finally the taper gib - its too small so how to resolve the issue.
