Stage 5 without dying and bombing.

I quite like this stage, some parts are a bit boring but overall it's pretty varied with lots of things to do.

The first part of the stage can be grazed for a life piece. A good height to be on to start streaming is the small yellow line on the bottom-left part of the HUD.

The third section is pretty hard to get the graze requirement for with Reimu's hitbox. I actually missed it by like 2 or 3 graze.

Ringlaser fairies are one of the hardest parts of the stage. You have to kill these really fast, if two are going to spam stars at once it gets really ugly really fast.

Reimu pretty much trivializes the part with the fast lasers from the sides by standing still in the middle of the screen and letting her homing do the work.
Sanae has more trouble here but has no trouble with the last part of the stage so it's a bit of a trade-off.

Starwall fairies are kinda static but doing this always works. Just kill them fast.

The last part of the stage is a bit hard with Reimu, you have to kill the fairies before they start shooting and flood the screen with small stars.

The first half of the boss fight except for the first spellcard is incredibly difficult while the second half is kinda really easy.
All the spellcards except for the 2nd are pretty much puzzle cards where once you know what to do they become really easy.

ZUN kind of fucked up the hitboxes in this game and pretty much every bullet is bigger than they were in previous games. The big and small star bullets are especially bad and are absolutely enormous.
Which is fun since this bossfight is pretty much nothing but star bullets.

The opener is the second hardest attack in the fight. You really have to kinda give yourself tunnel vision and see nothing except the things inside the "laser tube".
This attack also becomes incredibly difficult if the boss moves low on the screen. If she's low on the screen and she fires a bullet straight down the middle of the laser chute the dodge you have to make is almost pixel perfect.

First spell is static, memo a route.

Second nonspell is way easier than the first. It's faster but there is way more space to work with.

Second spellcard is the hardest attack of the fight. It's pretty random and there are a lot of different things happening at once that you need to keep track off.
This attack is absolute hell until you figure out that there is actually a pattern to where the star bullets spawn.
Going by this pattern you can predict where the general safe areas are going to be after every laser wave, which is center, center, right, right, center, right, right, center.
Stream downwards while keeping in mind that the stars have different movement speeds to the laser. If possible sneak towards the boss to get a few hits in during the corner waves.
If you happen to get caught a laser lower then you should then there is a very slight chance you can still escape in the bottom-left corner assuming no stars are in the way.
You can use the point item in the HUD as an indication of where a safespot for the lasers is.

Last nonspell has a trick where you can stream downwards during the first wave. This does a lot of damage and gives you a lot of graze.

After that is the puzzle card rush.
The first card is a bit weird. You graze bullets to delay them and then rush downwards to create an opening in the bullet wall.
The less-dense second ring is incredibly deadly so watch out for that. Ideally you want to start "drilling a hole" between bullets of the second ring to avoid them getting in the way.

For the laser spellcard you just move along with the lasers, very easy.

And the last spellcard is absurdly easy, why is this a stage 5 lunatic spell? You have plenty of time so don't rush and you'll be fine.

No I'm not doing stage 6 because it's absolute garbage.
As in the design of the patterns. I don't really enjoy fighting the boss very much.
