This black & white U.S. Army educational/training film is about the Chemical Decontamination unit if it is needed during chemical warfare. The film was part of a series of training films about Chemical, Biological and Radiological weapons -- or CBR. The copyright is 1954.

Opening titles: The United States Army presents The Chemical Decontamination Company (:09-:27). Jets go really fast in formation before trailing off and dropping chemicals - this is chemical warfare. Newspaper headlines: Russia Clams H Bomb, UN studies Germ warfare, Added funds for civil defense, New atom tests announced, committee studies gas peril. The exterior of the Pentagon in Washington, DC. Missiles are fired into the air. Lots of smoke. Bombs detonated in the distance - smoke pules are seen. A soldier rubs a gauze onto himself. Soldier decontaminates his tank. A jet bomber lands. Aerial shot of rail yard. Rail yard (:28-3:29). Soldiers stand besides their vehicles. A soldier surveys to make sure the radiation is not a threat, he wears a gas mask. A soldier with a gas mask walks. Bleach and water is a mixture poured into a truck. Soldiers shovel dirt and bleach in a wooded area while wearing gas masks. This is put into pails. Nude men are decontaminated by shower and hoses. Men hose down a shed on fire. Soldiers walk down a dirt road (3:30-5:56). A soldier talks to the chemical section. A map is looked at and a hand circles something on the map. The soldier salutes and leaves. Soldiers discuss the orders. Soldiers leave a tent. Jeeps drive up a hill. Soldiers with gas masks look over a hill. Animation shows the landing strip near the contaminated area. A jeep drive by other trucks. Men in the jeep talk with an officer about what to do (5:57-9:04). Animation shows the contaminated area, wind, and air force troops. Near the troops is the personnel decontamination station (shown in detail). Soldiers heat water for the showers. A generator is pumped. Water is fed from a hose. Men undress down to nothing. Nude men shower. After a shower a complete change of clothing is issued. On the air strip, a soldier with a gas mask does an experiment. The road to the airstrip is decontaminated (9:04-11:41). Men from the trucks spray down a substance to decontaminate. POV shot of spraying the air strip. Soldiers stand at guard around the area. Soldiers put mix into craters and cover with uncontaminated earth. Men put gas onto some grass/shrubs and burn it. A soldier watches. Close on wood. A soldier spreads bleach out of a pail. An explosion goes off. A building is sprayed (11:42-14:02). The building is scrubbed. The building is sprayed again. Soldiers confer. The building is checked to make sure it is decontaminated. Men check to make sure there is no toxic agent. Ground is checked as well. Close on a map. Soldiers sprays their own equipment. Men undress and shower. Planes fly in the sky (14:03-16:13). End credits (16:14-16:20).
